Pecan Nut Waffles!

Winter is coming, the mornings are a bit chilly and the sun is rising a bit later. Start your day by trying this warm and cosy pecan nut waffle recipe.  These nutty waffles are perfect for a cold Sunday, where you can curl up on the couch with your pecan waffle and some coffee while you binge your favourite series.

2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
12 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
12 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons chopped pecans

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In mixing bowl, beat eggs until light. Add buttermilk; mix well. Add dry ingredients and beat until batter is smooth. Stir in butter. Pour about 3/4 cup batter onto a lightly greased preheated waffle iron. Sprinkle with a few pecans. Bake according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown. Serve your waffle with extra pecans sprinkled on top and with a blob of fresh cream.
