This weekend, Saturday 4 February 2017, one of the biggest dinner parties in the world will be taking place. Pink Table Project in collaboration with restaurants across the globe and Zomato will be raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. The Pink Table Project on World Cancer Day is a Global Initiative challenging restaurants in 25 countries to host fabulous Pink Table Dinner Parties & Fundraisers in aid of a Cancer Support Beneficiary in their country.
Various restaurants are taking part across the globe and Shimmy Beach Club, Cape Town’s premier beachfront venue, is a proud participator.
This year, one of the key messages of World Cancer Day is that a healthier lifestyle choice can help to reduce your risk of cancer. Following the running theme of #IFoundHealthy, Shimmy will be offering the tastiest and healthiest of Executive Chef Adrian Cook’s summer menu, notable for its traditional, bold Mediterranean influences.
The menu offers great South African meals, with many carb-conscious, vegan and gluten-free options proving to palates that healthy certainly doesn’t mean boring.
Funds raised will be donated to Pink Drive and World Cancer Day organization.
