Who Are They?


 Refilwe Xaba is the owner of Glolooks, a local manufacturer and supplier of organic hair care products for ethnic hair. She represented the Free State province at the 2017 Engen Pitch & Polish annual competition where she was the overall winner of the national platform.

What Do They Do?

Glolooks is a manufacturing company that currently manufactures and supplies hair products for ethnic hair. They offer to their audience five hair products – Detangling and Moisturising Hair Spray; Deep Cleansing Shampoo; Organic Sealant Butter; Organic Unrefined-Deep Moisture Conditioner and the Protective Oil Treatment. They found that chemicals used in synthesized and artificial hair care products (can trigger allergies) result in hair damage and breakage, even worse, can cause bodily harm. Our hair is organic and needs organic nourishment just like our bodies, for healthy and growing hair. The organic ingredients help to strengthen hair and promotes hair growth, naturally, without negative effects that may have long-term impact on our health and bodies.

Who Benefits?

Glolook’s target market is women with ethnic hair between the ages of 18 and 45 who fall in LSM 4 and upwards. These are women that are sophisticated and expressive. They seek on-going learning as well as access to information from experts, so that they can make the best choice for themselves when making a purchase. They are aware of self, and want to celebrate and enjoy their natural beauty without shame or judgment.
