About Adora-Bull Terrier Rescue and Rehabilitation
Adora-Bull Terrier Rescue and Rehabilitationis a non-profit, pro-life rescue organisation based in Vereeniging. They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome bull terriers around South Africa.
Founder Dania Skone who worked at the SPCA in Vereeniging for many years, says this ‘often misunderstood, mostly neglected or abandoned, many were euthanised due to their very nature and because of their breed’.
The Northern Free State Bull Terrier Club recognised Dania’s work in the rehabilitation field with bull terriers and invited her to head up Adora-Bull Terrier Rescue.  The organisation was established in 2012, and in 2015 it became a separate entity, the first and only independent Bull Terrier NPO in South Africa.

Says Dania: “We live and breathe for the dogs in our care and our vision and mission is the solid and pure foundation on which we build our rescue. We rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of our volunteers and members of the public who are as passionate about the breed as we are. Our main goal is to rescue bull terriers in need and to give them a chance to be part of a happy family, which they so deserve.
All dogs in our care are vaccinated, microchipped and sterilised prior to rehoming and we do not condone or promote the breeding or selling of any dogs for profit.”
