This Winter’s Wardrobe – Style Rejuvenation

Winter is coming… All the subtle changes to your summer look have to change, and what better way to start the season than by showing off your style? You can start by adding a few noticeable pieces and accessories to your wardrobe.  To make sure your personality comes through when you’re accessorizing, don’t hide anything. Keeping warm and being stylish are synonymous in winter, as long as you know how to layer. Forget about being uncomfortable in bulky items that make you look bigger than what you really are. Rather add dimension to your look and keep warm by layering.  That will make your look stand out.  The best part about winter is that you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to accessorising. You can now wear your favourite scarf, and perhaps match it with some killer boots. Then add a bold handbag to round it all offAnother staple accessory is a great pair of sleek gloves. They just make you look more elegant, and you’ll naturally be much warmer. Other accessories which are very popular at the moment, are berets and  knitted headbands. Wearing a great head accessory naturally amplifies your style. At Tweak ‘n Style they feel you shouldn’t really follow fashion trends per se, however, if someone is suitable styled for their body and personality, they are the epitome of fashion.

With regards to trends… these are determined by top international designers and the celebrities wearing designer clothing, which is reworked and then produced as ready-to-wear retail clothing. Mustard, wine, dirty rose and grey are the primary colour trends this winter. When you look at style for this coming season, embellishments, pearls and balloon sleeves are also on trend. Also, trench coats are very popular during winter. They are pretty fabulous as is, the only tip we would give is to tie the belt to the back as opposed to over your stomach. It’s crucial to add flair to your look in winter with a style injection; just add the ‘missing pieces’ to your look and you’ll immediately see the value staring back at you in the mirror. And It’s important that you wear clothing that you love.

Fashion Editor I am a stylist and have worked with many celebrities. Magazines are a great platform to inform people on styling and fashion trends. I loves to help readers to look as stylish as they can be, regardless of their body type, skin colour etc. It’s a great feeling to have knowing, that in helping someone choose an outfit, you’re also helping them feel more confident.
