#FashionFile: The 2018 American Music Awards Red Carpet
The American Music awards took place last night, and as you know award shows starts with the red carpet. With every award show, expect glamour and fashion – and it was no different this year at the AMAs, hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross. The threads were at times risky, but all of the looks made major fashion statements that we will remember.
Have a look at what the stars wore this year.
HALLE BAILEY and CHLOE BAILEYEven though we love these two, their look was a bit off. It seemed like they took material and just cut a hole to fit their heads and then they were off! We’ll let things slide this time because they’ve had incredible fashion moments in the past and always look incredible. So we’ll pretend that this just never happened…
RITA ORAIs this Rita Ora? This was a major miss! Oh Rita why??! She’s always seen in the most dramatic, trendy and fashionable looks that this look is really confusing us. This black gown that featured floral embroidery looked dated for the star.
TAYLOR SWIFTTaylor made her first award appearance after 3 years in a showstopping disco ball-inspired Balmain mini dress and matching boots. It may be a lot for some, but we love this look! It’s different and fun!
TYRA BANKSErr… Tyra are you at the wrong event?… The supermodel attended the AMAs in a sparkly fringe skirt with a voluminous white shirt and ankle boots. What is going on here? We almost thought we were writing about a red carpet event for a burlesque show.
JENNIFER LOPEZJennifer Lopez stunned in a hot pink Georges Chakra dress which showed plenty of cleavage and some leg with a slinky thigh-high slit. It also featured a black strip around her waist which accentuated her curves.
CARDI B and OFFSETIt was literally a floral explosion when Cardi stepped on the carpet. Cardi B made an entrance with her husband Offset in a floral gown, complete with a lace-up corset style bodice and ornate headpiece.
