OUT & ABOUT WITH JEN SU: London Fashion Week

By Jen Su

TV & Radio Presenter Jen Su jetted off to London Fashion Week, to bring us the lowdown on the celebs and shows from the British catwalk.

Hot on the heels of #NYFW, it was over to London for London Fashion Week.  This season, #LFW is going totally fur-free on its catwalks – and also is partnering with multi-billion dollar platform VIP.com, the first Chinese E-Commerce retailer to sponsor London Fashion Week.

#LFW highlights for Spring/Summer 2019 included Victoria Beckham, showing in London a decade after first launching her own label. Model Stella Tennant opened up the 10 year anniversary show.

Hubby David Beckham and their four children sat front row to cheer their Mom on.

TV Presenter Alexa Chung, debuted her first collection for #LFW entitled “Arrivals and Departures”, inspired by airport dressing.

Turkish designer Bora Aksu presented a romantic, folk-inspired SS19 collection with lace, organza, embroidery, and floral headpieces.

Fyodor Golan presented their SS19 collection by raising awareness of plastic pollution in oceans around the world, along with pear prints and jumpers and dresses with mesh netting, as well as neon lips.

Burberry debuted its first collection with its virally-popular TB (ie, founder Thomas Burberry) monogram motif T-shirts, under new chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci. He’s also designed a custom tour look for Beyoncé and has Kanye West and Chance the Rapper among his many legions of fans.

And if that wasn’t edgy enough, teen hacker CyFi was one of a legion of computer hackers (actually teaching kids how to protect themselves online), to present Nicholas Kirkwood’s latest collection.

Kolchagov Barba presented a gorgeous collection entitled “Fragile”.
