The Oscars Beauty Award Goes To…
EVERY year we wait in anticipation to see some of our favourite stars’ beauty choices for the Academy Awards. Some looks win our hearts and others just leave us speechless (not in a good way)! we know that the evening is all about rewarding stars for their hard work and dedication to their careers, but what we really want to see is the fashion and beauty. Here are our top looks from previous Oscar nights!
OLIVIA MUNN is such a style icon! She looked ravishing at the Oscars in an orange Stella Mccartney creation. What we loved the most is that she matched her lips to her dress and kept the rest of her beauty look quite simple with a low chignon and minimal make-up.
Going matchy-matchy can be scary, but the trick is to not go for an exact match. Try a shade darker or lighter than your outfit.
TOM FORD dressed Margot Robby at this year’s Oscars. The actress’s skin looked so radiant under the red carpet lights and was the perfect complement to the dazzling colour and texture of her dress. If there was one look that would stand the test of time. it was Margot’s.
KERRY is a bit of a crush at the people offices and she didn’t disappoint this year either. Her dress bv Versace was perfect and she was all class in the hair and make-up department. A dark eye, illuminated skin, nude lips…perfection!
EDGY and chic. Rooney Mara’s look was a winner at the award show. A lot of the stars went for subtle make-up, but Rooney stood out with a look that was all edge. Her short raven locks were styled into a tiny, sleeked back bun which she paired with a dark lip. What really made her look stand out even more: her straight eyebrows. We love it!
ANOTHER example that braids can work for any event. Chrissy looked amazing in a gown by Marchesa. One word to describe Chrissy: glowing. Her make-up illuminated her face beautifully. Shades of bronze, gold and tan were used to create the beautiful make-up look to go with her loose, romantic braid. She shared an awesome pic on Instagram showing her baby bump getting sewn into her dress for the big night.
