The Academy Awards: Best Of Beauty 2018

THE Academy Awards red carpet is arguably the biggest of the entire awards season, so stars take their preparation for the award show very seriously. As they should. Because we’re just here to see what and who they are wearing, how they complimented their gowns with their make-up and what their hairstyle choice was. Stars didn’t disappoint at the 90th Academy Awards and brought the glamour with gorgeous beauty looks.

Zendaya‘s sleek high top knot lets her make-up take centre stage. Although her look is subtle, it’s also classic and pretty, with a brown smokey, natural lashes and her signature textured brows.

Never one to shy away from bold beauty, Taraji P. Henson doubled up the drama with her make-up. She wore a bold berry lip and combined it with shimmery lids. Her hair was side-parted in a glossy shoulder-skimming bob. Lovely.

By far our best look of the night, Allison Williams stuck to the age old classic with retro waves paired with black lined lids. Rosy cheeks and luminous skin completed this old Hollywood inspired look.

Eiza’s texturised, soft, yet bold brows and light touch of eyeshadow on the eyes – only mascara and tightlining on the upper lashes, with a sweep of taupe shadow for definition allows her hot coral lip to speak for itself.

Lupita‘s loves striking hues on her eyes. She rimmed her eyes with bright blue all around and finished with a metallic nude lip. Her skin was flawless, as per usual.

Mary J. Blige had her short blonde pixie swept up into a voluminous pompadour. She was fresh faced with nude lipstick and slightly smoky lids for a bit of emphasis on her eyes.
