IF you haven’t heard of local rockers Lost & Found yet, what are you doing with your life? The band comprises of Glen Hodgson (The Parlotones) and Jason Oosthuizen (Black Cat Bones, ex Van Coke Kartel) and they’ve just dropped their debut self-titled studio album. After the success of their first single, Lost And Found, the duo have just dropped Learning How To Lie – the official second single from their project.
The song is energetic, chaotic, mesmerising and different. The band has an old soul to them and it’s this that helps them stand out of the crowd. Although the song is unlikely to become a commercial success, the band’s sound is exciting and their music will translate into fantastic live shows. The instrumentals on the song are insane and that old-school rock and roll sound is everything.
“Jason had some lyrics that he was working on and I had a little acoustic riff, so we really just tracked everything from scratch, and the song has turned out to be a band and crowd favourite,” Glen says about the process of their new single. The more we listen to this song, the more it grows on us. Remember to support local music and buy this song off iTunes today.
