Anatii, also known as the Electronic Bushman, officially dropped the music video for his hit single Thixo Onofefe last week at a private screening at Sandton City Ster Kinekor.
The video, which takes the form of a short film, pays homage to everyday life and aims to awaken and raise consciousness in the viewer, inspiring them to overcome hurdles in reaching personal happiness.
Directed by the artist himself, Anatii said, “This video is a metaphor for the different things that happens in a person’s life. It represents something that is born out of African culture, the mysticism and beliefs that people have. With this music video I want to encourage people to embrace their own culture and heritage, and to know that it is okay to be proud of where you come from.”
As the first story-driven video for the artist, Thixo Onofefe, meaning “Almighty God of grace”, serves as a continuation of Anatii’s spiritual journey and celebrates his culture and tradition.
