Sketchy Bongo Drops Debut Album

The popular DJ has finally released his first record – and it’s an exciting piece of work.

After years of being the mastermind behind some of Mzansi’s greatest songs, Sketchy Bongo finally releases his debut album ‘Unmasked’ today. The album, released via the international label Ultra Records, is the first time the producer has released a collection of music of his own and solidifies his status as one of the most forward-thinking producers in South Africa today.

Sketchy show’s off his production talents on the record as he blurs genres lines with this release. Not only can you expect pop anthems such as ‘Back To The Beach’ and ‘Let You Know’, but also a variety of dance, hip-hop and African house tracks that is bound to impress anyone who listens to it.

The producer also teamed up with some of South Africa’s hottest acts on the release. Naturally, you can expect cameos from long-time collaborators Aewon Wolf, Kyle Deutsch and Shekhinah but also appearances from Tresor, Cara Frew, Locnville and many more.

The album comes hot off the heels of Sketchy’s latest single ‘Love Me In The Dark’ featuring Kaien Cruz which is quickly taking local radio by storm despite only being released this week.  The album is available on iTunes now for just R79.99. Support local music and download your copy today.
