Minnie Dlamini-Jones and her family bid a painful farewell to her brother Khosini, who died from a brain aneurysm on 27 September.

Khosini was admitted to ICU where he fought for his life for 23 days. The Dlamini family confirmed his death through a press statement and asked for their privacy to be respected.

“In this time of grief we ask for privacy and the opportunity to celebrate him. Khosini is survived by his parents Queen and Jabulani Dlamini and his siblings Maphe and Minehle,” read part of the statement.

Over the weekend Minnie shared a heart-wrenching collage of the special memories that she made with her Khosini.

The collage included a clip of Khosini talking about how Minnie was always there to protect him when they were growing up.

“Now I have to learn how to live without you,” Minnie captioned the tribute.

Taking to Twitter, Minnie also thanked those close to her family for helping them through this trying time.

“Words cannot justify how blessed my family is with amazing people who supported us with everything they could. People never left our side for 23 days and continue to be there for us. We could not have done this without you all.”

Norma Gigaba also shared a heartfelt tribute to Khosini on Instagram.

“Yesterday we sent our last goodbye to you, your death left us broken, seeing you fighting for your life at hospital for a short period of time was so painful, we will miss your big smile and positive attitude. Such a young driven soul but it is well, Rest in peace Sibalukhulu.”
