In what promises to be another coup for Netflix Africa showcasing exceptional local talent, Blood & Water has hit screens worldwide and is now streaming.
Life for 16-year-old Puleng Khumalo is anything but ordinary. Intelligent, proactive and impulsive, Puleng engineers her transfer to Parkhurst College, a prestigious inner-city school for Cape Town’s elite scholars.
While living for these uber-privileged high-schoolers revolves around parties, passion and a healthy dose of gossip, beneath the surface runs a mystery that has every one of them firmly in its grip. Are people who they say they are? Is the head-girl-elect as perfect as she seems? Will Puleng ever find out the truth about her missing sister, abducted as a newborn seventeen years ago?
Blood & Water stars breakout actress Khosi Ngema as well as celebrated talents such as Ama Qamata (Gemora, My Perfect Family, Rhythm City), Natasha Thahane (Skeem Saam, The Queen), Gail Mabalane (The Road, The Wild), Cindy Mahlangu (The Queen, The Herd), Thabang Molaba (The Queen), Arno Greeff (Binnelanders) and Dillon Windvogel (DanZ).
