Miss SA Is Miss Universe Runner Up!

Talk about making SA proud! Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, won Runner-Up in the Miss Universe Pageant in Bangkok, Thailand — in an almost historic back-to-back win for South Africa.

Host Steve Harvey announced Miss Philippines as the winner — crowned by Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, from South Africa .

For weeks, Miss Philippines Catriona Gray was the social media favourite of the Miss Universe contingent.  One of her statement dresses was a vibrant red dress inspired by the Mayon Volcano.  Miss Venezuela was also in the Top 3.

Tamaryn, one of 93 contestants in the Miss Universe competition, spent quality time in Thailand, where they visited the Grand Palace and the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre, in between contestant activities and competitions for various categories including  the national costume contest.

What a stunning Top 3 these women made! I must admit that Venezuela was a bit of a surprise (I thought Vietnam would make it to the final 3), but @sthefanygutierrez1 proved again that you should never count Venezuela out! I had a feeling though that @tamaryngreen and @catriona_gray would be holding hands as the final 2. The show itself was really well put together and exciting to watch. My nerves just couldn’t handle the suspense! And they kept calling Tamaryn first (into the Top 20 and Top 10)! Congratulations again Philippines on winning your 4th Miss Universe title! ??? #missuniverse #missuniverso #missuniverse2018 #67thmissuniverse #mu2018 #missvenezuela #misssouthafrica #missphilippines #sthefanygutierrez #tamaryngreen #catrionagray #pageant #queen #? #?? #?? #?? #proudlysabeauties #confidentlybeautiful #misssa2018 #eveninggown #top3 #gorgeouswomen #beautifulwomen
