Q. What do you love most about cricket?

A. Definitely playing for my country. It has been one of my dreams from a young age to play cricket for South Africa. No better feeling then putting on a playing shirt and walking onto the field.

Q. What is the funniest moment you have experienced on and off the cricket field?

A. The funniest moment I have experienced involves the captain. There was a dismissal on field but it wasn’t out, so all I saw was hand movements and shouting from the balcony with a half-eaten banana in her hand haha.

Q. What is your greatest experience in your cricket career so far?

A. Making my debut at the age of 16 and taking a wicket off my first ball. Another one will definitely be making my 50th T20 appearance for my country at the recent ICC Women’s World Cup in the Caribbean.

Q. What is it like being part of the Protea’s  Women’s team?

A. A dream come true indeed. Teammates have turned into family and I can’t wait to see them for the next tour!

A. How do you like to spend your free time?

A. I love spending time with my family, I don’t get to see them much, but I make the most of it when I get time at home.

Q. Where is the most interesting place you have toured with the Proteas’ squad?

A. The Caribbean for sure, I love the people and absolutely love the vibe.

Q. Which is your favourite cricket stadium in the world?

A. The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, India, is a place I’ve enjoyed playing at. The atmosphere is crazy.

Q. What is the best advice that someone has given you that has helped you to this day?

A. To never give up no matter what.

Q. Who is your favourite player in women’s cricket at the moment and why?

Elysse Perry, she is one of the best all-rounders in the world and she is definitely changing the path of women’s cricket going forward.

Q. What would you like to achieve in the year ahead?

A. Well, we have a few series coming up this year, so scoring runs and being more consistent in everything I do on the field. I want to be more of a match winner and I’m understanding my game more so hopefully I can start ticking a few box’s this year.

Have a fantastic birthday, Chloe! We wish you everything of the very best for the year ahead!
