Happy Birthday, Cameron

South African star Olympic swimming gold medallist Cameron van der Burgh is celebrating his 31st birthday today. To celebrate the day of his birth we are taking a look at some quick fire fun facts about the Olympic gold medallist. Not to mention the fact that we are giving you some eye candy with a shirtless pic of Cameron.

  • Cameron van der Burgh won the 50m breaststroke at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in a games record time of 27.18 seconds.
  • Van der Burgh won the 100m breaststroke gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in a new world record time of 58.46 seconds.
  • Cameron got his 2nd Olympic medal at the 2016 Olympic Games when he secured the silver medal in the 100m Breaststroke.
  • Cameron went to Glenstantia Primary school. He matriculated at Crawford College in 2006.
  • Cameron van der Burgh was named as GQ’s 7th best-dressed man in 2012.
  • Some of Cameron’s Olympic earnings went towards feeding underprivileged kids in Alexandra, Gauteng.
