To our surprise, rap superstar Cassper Nyovest incurred over 7 million rands in debt for his Fill Up Moses Mabhida concert last December.
The Move For Me hitmaker made this revelation when a fan asked him for an update on how far are the Family Tree Studios from being complete.
Nyovest replied, “The Family Tree Office/Studios are on hold for now. Went through a ditch after Mabhida. “ He also revealed that he had to pay taxes as well. “Had to pay 7 million rands in debt, then the tax thing happened as well.”
The Family Tree Office/Studios are on hold for now. Went through a ditch after Mabhida. Had to pay 7 million rand in debt , then the tax thing happened as well. Im only starting to recover now. Should be back in progress in a couple of months and then we rock. https://t.co/VZU3mnmMnW

We have to commend Cassper on his honesty – Not a lot of local celebrities are open about their shortcomings. This is necessary because transparency about the industries’ challenges will show upcoming artists that the game isn’t always glitz and glam.
