Congratulations to local songstress Amanda Black on being part of the line-up at this year’s International annual Essence Festival in New Orleans, US on July 5-7.
Amanda Black along with other local stars – comedienne Celeste Ntuli and rapper Nasty C have been added to the list of performers for this year’s Essence Fest alongside Pharrell Williams, Missy Eliot, Mary J. Blige and more.
Essence Fest also known as “the party with a purpose”, is an annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African-American women and is the largest event celebrating African-American culture and music in the United States.
Sharing the amazing news on social media Amanda wrote, “GUUUUUUYZ!!! I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!!! Gonna be performing at the @essence Festival in New Orleans, USA ?? this July.”
