AKA To Give Away Music Scholarships

AKA is giving away music scholarships.

Local rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known by his stage name AKA has been doing amazing things for the youth and continues to give back.

The Fela In Versace hit-maker donated R35, 000 to sponsor one of the national squad’s athletes as part of the Special Olympics South Africa’s ‘Back Our Team’ campaign and also recently donated R100 000 to the WITS SRC humanitarian fund and food.

The star also announced that he, in partnership with MTV Base and Rise Academy South Africa will be launching a music scholarship program, The Megacy Kid. Sharing the news on social media AKA wrote: “@akaworldwide, @mtvbasesouth, and @riseacademysa are ready to help SA’s top aspiring young talent break into the music industry Want to know what it takes to make it big?
