Can you believe that its been three years since local pop star Matthew Mole dropped his second studio album ‘Run’? After an array of tours around the world and inking a brand-new record deal with Universal Music South Africa, the star is hard at work on his follow-up album ‘Ghost’, which is scheduled to drop on the 14th of November, and today, he gives us the first taste of his new project as he drops the record’s lead single ‘Let Me’.
On the song, Matthew continues to delve even deeper into his most personal thoughts on love, relationships and vulnerability. In his own words, the single “is a song about looking past our selfishness, to love one another. In this song I talk about how we can walk together, dream together and love each other unconditionally”.
Matthew has started off his new era strong and has premiered the track’s exceptional music video alongside its release. Directed by Alastair Thomas, the music video draws fans closer to Matthew’s fears about confronting one’s insecurities and his aspirations regarding interpersonal relationships, a fundamental concept addressed in his new album “Ghost”.
Matthew continues to make music that identifies with his audiences in a way only he can pull off. With exceptional instrumentals, a beautiful story, emotion and a solid vocal performance, Matthew Mole is back – and better than ever before.
