We’re still coming to terms with HHP’s devastating death after the star committed suicide last year after years of battling with depression and while his legacy continues to live on through his music, it seems the late rapper’s swan song is almost here. HHP’s widow Lerato Sengadi has revealed that she is putting the final touches on her late husband’s last album as a final farewell from the prolific rapper.
“He is my husband. We worked together. I promised him I would keep his legacy alive and I see it as my calling. He loved this album and he would have wanted the world to hear it.” Lerato said in a recent interview.
Lerato revealed that the rapper was working on a collection of tracks ahead of his suicide and since HHP put so much blood, sweat and tears into his new material, Lerato is determined to share the music with his fans.
While Lerato hasn’t shared too much about her late husband’s posthumous album, she did reveal that the project will be titled ‘Drum’ and that it will be a fitting send-off to the incredible impact that HHP has had on the local music industry. Lerato has also added that there will be many exciting collaborations on the project.
We are thrilled to hear that Lerato is completing HHP’s work and that she’s determined to give the fans one final album from the hip-hop superstar. We can’t wait to hear what he has cooked up in the studio during his final months.
