Legendary musician Lauryn Hill and rapper Nas gave fans a rocking concert in Johannesburg over the weekend.
The Everything is Everything star jetted into Mzansi as part of her world tour for the 20th anniversary of her album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Fans inundated Twitter with video clips and comments from the concert, which resulted in the hashtag #LaurynHill topping the trends list for most of Saturday night.
Just days before the concert, Lauryn took to Twitter to reassure fans that she was definitely headed to our shores despite rumours of a cancellation.

Lauryn said that this concert was the first of many in Africa.
“I got word that some people were doubtful that Nas and I were coming to Johannesburg to play. From the first day we started putting the tour together, playing (in) Africa was a must. Not only are we coming but we’re coming to establish an important precedence,” she said.
Lauryn added that she loves everything that Africa symbolises.
“I would like to play across continental Africa as completely and as often as I play in Europe and other international markets. We love the people, the cultures, the sounds, the vibrancy and the idea of making that connection a physical reality.”
