After a nail-biting season of Presenter Search On 3: Expresso Edition, Kuhle Adams and Jamie-Lee Domburg have won themselves a contract with South Africa’s feel-good breakfast show and will serve as the show’s brand-new presenters. The dynamic duo will begin their new roles on the show from as early as Monday, 4 November and will finally reap the rewards of all the hard work they put in.
The nerves were tangible as each finalist sat down opposite a larger-than-life personality. TV host and actress Khanyi Mbau, hip-hop star and actor Angu Makubalo, COO of McDonald’s South Africa Jo-Annde Wet and Miss South Africa 2019 Zozibini Tunzieach were the subjects and it was there where Kuhle and Jamie-Lee proved that they have what it takes to host a live, high-energy show like Expresso.
Executive producer Patience Stevens, the woman behind the show, was full of compliments for all four the finalists. “Congratulations to Kuhle and Jamie –I am extremely excited to welcome them on to Expresso and can’t wait to see them develop as they grow in confidence and experience. But I know that we have not seen the last of [finalists] Deen Woodman and Nathaneal Davids either; and look forward to seeing how they take the exposure they had with this show and make that work for them in their future careers.”
Naturally, both women are exceptionally excited to start this new chapter in their television careers. “We’ve been warned about the hard work that is ahead, about the early mornings and the late nights…but we are SO ready,” says Kuhle, who will have to relocate from Johannesburg amid starting her new slot on Expresso. Jamie-Lee agrees: “This is not television –this is a dream come true!”
Congrats, girls! We can’t wait to see you flourish on your new journey and we’re out here supporting you all the way!
