Over the past few weeks, Jesse Clegg has been dominating the airwaves with his brand-new single ‘Let It Burn’. On the track, Jesse pushes boundaries as he steps away from the acoustic rock sound we’ve grown accustomed to hear from him and has delivered an edgy pop track which shows off his incredible vocals. Now, months after releasing the track, the singer has dropped a star-studded music video to the track.
The video features several cameo appearances including Abby Nurock, Francois van Coke, Jack Parow, Khan Morbee , Kim Engelbrecht, Odelle de Wet, Ross Learmonth and Sjava.
“It was such an amazing vibe being on set, from the dancers and all the talented people that were performing and contributed to the shoot,” Jesse says. “We just really wanted to capture the emotional quality and energy of the song and we paired it up with interesting things and people from SA that we can celebrate.”
As for the lyrical content of the song, Jesse has opened up about the importance of embracing that which you fear. “In the context of a relationship, there are always these moments when you have to make yourself vulnerable to the other person and let them into your life, and we all have fears of being hurt or disappointed. Ultimately, it’s about that moment of conquering your doubts and embracing an experience or a relationship wholeheartedly,” he tells us.
