Tracee Ellis Ross considers her curly hair to be her best accessory.
The Black-ish actress is known for her flawless complexion and bright smile, as well as her halo of dark brown curls.
While Tracee loves to dress up for glitzy work events, she has now shared that she always uses her signature tresses as a starting point when it comes to creating her glamorous looks.
“I’ve been wearing my hair natural for so long, that I’ve just incorporated it into my lifestyle,” she told Allure.com. “It’s part of the reason why I don’t wear a tonne of make-up because my hair takes time. But it’s also my best accessory.”
To keep her hair in tip-top condition, Tracee seeks out products from New York beauty store Ricky’s and hunts for other staples on the Amazon website. The star has also recently unveiled her debut fashion line in partnership with JCPenney, and made a concerted effort to ensure each piece was priced under $100 (£75).
“I believe that clothing and looking great does not have to be expensive, and I also think that clothing can be both armour and your joy at the same time,” she said.
Tracee, the daughter of legendary singer Diana Ross, added that she was determined for her clothing range to feature pops of fun colour and a lot of sparkle. For instance, the line includes a shimmery gold minidress, a red coat and a classic black tuxedo – perfect for the party season.
“I come from glamour and sparkle, obviously. I was born into it, and I believe that glamour and sparkles can be for daytime or nighttime,” the 45-year-old added.
