Tracee Ellis Ross brings glamour to celebration of The Carol Burnett Show

Tracee Ellis Ross sparkled at an event celebrating The Carol Burnett Show on Wednesday night (04Oct17).

The Black-ish actress led a line-up of A-listers attending the bash in Los Angeles, which included the filming of The Carol Burnett Show’s 50th Anniversary Special, honouring the classic variety programme, which originally ran from 1967 to 1978 and won 25 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Taking to the red carpet, Tracee ensured all eyes were on her in a purple sequinned dress with full-length sleeves from Preen. The star wore her dark brown hair in loose curls and topped off the look with a swipe of plum-coloured lipstick. Following in Tracee’s footsteps was Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, who also rocked a sequinned dress. Kristin’s strapless number featured a gold sequinned bodice and black tulle skirt, and she accessorised with diamond jewellery and embellished satin pumps.

“One of the best nights of my entire life onstage with CAROL BURNETT. And friends … ah. Filled up,” she tweeted after the event, adding: “Holy. C**p. And finally meeting a hero Jim Carrey. Kaley Cuoco and my sweet Jane Lynch.”

Putting her best foot forward, Kaley stood out from the crowds in a star-print dress from Leilou. The Big Bang Theory actress accessorised with Tory Burch shoes and jewellery from H.Stern, while fellow TV star Beth Behrs opted for a dark blue lace dress with black ribbon necktie.

And the guest of honour, Carol Burnett, looked lovely in a black dress with collar and beaded detail.

Other stars to show their support included Bill Hader, Harry Connick Jr., Jay Leno, Michael Kelly, and Tom Selleck, as well as original The Carol Burnett Show castmembers including Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner.

The Carol Burnett 50th Anniversary Special is set to air on 3 December.
