Tori Spelling experienced a major boost in confidence after getting her eyebrows microbladed.
The actress famously had thin eyebrows when playing Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210 back in the 1990s, but now that she is reprising the role for the latest reboot, BH90210, Tori has decided to undergo a brow makeover.
Taking to Instagram recently, the 46-year-old uploaded a slideshow of images showing her arches before and after make-up artist Niki Metz microbladed them, and in the accompanying caption, explained that she was amazed by the difference.
“Ok, I finally took the BROW PLUNGE… I know sooooo many people who have tried #microblading but honestly, I was terrified to do it. Even though I was a self-professed over plucker (hey… thin brows were IN in the ’90s. And, Donna Martin was on point for that decade!) Plus, no one told me The Brow Would Be Back! And, in a BIG WAY! And, after years of tweezing sometimes brows just don’t grow the way they used too,” she wrote. “Then, about three weeks ago I blew it and made a hole in one of my brows while trying to tweeze them. That’s when I knew I just had to go for it! My forever friend and make-up artist and #microblading master @nikimetzmakeup has been telling me forever to do it. That it would be life-changing. Well, she was right…”
Eyebrow microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation performed with a very fine hand tool dipped in the chosen pigment, in order to mimic the appearance of very fine hair. An eyebrow microblading session usually takes between 90 and 120 minutes, and once the microblading procedure is complete, it can last for a long time, with some people left with pigment indefinitely.
And now, mother-of-five Tori regrets not taking Niki’s advice much sooner.
“@nikimetzmakeup you have pretty much changed my life! I’m obsessed with the beautiful #microblading she did on me. Who knew brows could literally boost your self-confidence! I feel so good about myself right now. Thank you, my friend! So natural. So easy. So brilliant,” the star concluded.
