Tiffany Haddish never had acne until she started making movies

Tiffany Haddish only began to suffer from acne after her movie career took off.

The 40-year-old actress made her breakthrough in movies with her scene-stealing role in 2017’s Girls Trip, and has been working non-stop ever since, with appearances in films such as Night School, Nobody’s Fool, Like a Boss, and The Kitchen.

Although she is enjoying her successful career, Tiffany has now admitted to Allure that her skin has paid the price for her busy work schedule and the heavy make-up she is required to wear on set.

“Before I was famous, my beauty regimen was: Wash your a*s, wash your face, moisturise,” she shared. “It was simple because I didn’t wear make-up every day. Now I’m shooting movies and TV shows, constantly putting make-up on my face, constantly being outside. Oh, my gosh, I break out so bad. I’d never had acne until I started doing a lot of movies.

“You’ve got to have the right stuff to dig that make-up out of your pores. I use that Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. After filming Girls Trip – they put that heavy make-up on you and you’ve been sweating all day in that New Orleans weather – I was breaking out for a whole year.”

Tiffany’s skin started to improve once she invested in the Clarisonic Mia Prima Facial Cleansing Skincare Device, which uses sonic technology to brush and deeply cleanse the skin.

When she’s filming, the comedienne uses the Tatcha cleanser and makes sure she puts coconut oil “all over my face” before she goes to bed, while she also likes to whip up a mask made from Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and apple cider vinegar and apply the mixture once a week.
