Ruth Wilson turned heads in a floral dress at the 62nd Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday night (13Nov16).
In spite of the cold weather, the Luther actress donned a gorgeous white gown covered in a vintage flower print, which featured a halterneck as well as ruched short sleeves. Because of the cut there was no need for the British beauty to wear a necklace and she didn’t actually wear any jewellery at all, instead letting her statement outfit do the talking.
Adding her own fun touch to the look, the 34-year-old sported a red manicure, and wore matching scarlet lipstick with a glossy finish, while her warm brown tresses were worn in loose waves.
Also in attendance at the ceremony in London on Sunday was Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close, who not only won the Best Musical Performance accolade for Sunset Boulevard but also triumphed in the style stakes with her unusual choice.
The 69-year-old actress looked younger than her years thanks to her youthful complexion and on-trend pixie crop hair, and wore velvet trousers with a matching cape-coat with a white silk blouse underneath. She posed on the red carpet opposite the show’s writer Andrew Lloyd Webber, who matched Glenn’s monochrome outfit in a black suit, white shirt and black bow-tie.
Thor star Tom Hiddleston arrived in a similar attire, looking handsome in a dark suit and bow tie with a red poppy pinned to his lapel to mark Remembrance Day.
Actress Elizabeth Hurley on the other hand decided to go a little bolder for the evening, rocking up in a black strapless dress made of slightly sheer material. Her assets and stomach were somewhat visible underneath the gown, while the skirt featured ruffles and a split up the front. Her flowing brown locks only added to the overall glamour.
