Reese Witherspoon had ‘hard time’ picking dress for Golden Globes

Reese Witherspoon had a “hard time” choosing a dress to wear to the 2020 Golden Globes.

The Legally Blonde actress recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at her preparing for the annual ceremony in an Instagram video, with the clip showing her kicking off her busy day with an early morning yoga session to help clear her mind and de-stress.

Reese, who was up for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Bradley Jackson in The Morning Show but lost out to Olivia Colman, then headed to her dress fitting with stylist Petra Flannery.

The mother-of-three seemed overwhelmed by the huge choice of show-stopping outfits on display and told the camera that it was her favourite part, as she got to pick “from the most talented designers”.

Trying on the white crepe one-shoulder asymmetric Roland Mouret gown first, which she eventually wore, Reese is then seen posing in a variety of different dresses, including a black version of the white crepe number.

She’s also filmed wearing a purple feathered number, a black suit with an embellished tuxedo jacket, and a chic knee-length ’50s-style black one-shouldered gown.

Reese proceeds to take viewers through her hair and make-up session in a suite at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel, and confessed that she had a difficult choice to make as she fell in love with two gowns at her fitting.

“I had a really hard time deciding between two dresses. So, this is it. I hope I made the right choice. I’m making a really brave decision here at the Golden Globes to wear white,” the 43-year-old joked of the Mouret gown, before sharing her fear that her pristine outfit would get covered in make-up when she’s hugging other stars. “I’m so scared. I never wear white!”
