Motherhood inspired Lauren Conrad to add sleepwear to her Kohl’s collection

Lauren Conrad’s decision to add sleepwear to her Kohl’s line came about because as a mother, she loves nothing more than lounging around at home.

Lauren and husband William Tell are currently expecting baby number two, a sibling for their son Liam, who was born in July 2017.

The TV personality began designing clothes for U.S. department store Kohl’s in 2009, and has since gone on to add swimwear, plus-size clothing and now sleepwear to her offerings.

“My overall style hasn’t changed much since having a baby,” she considered during a chat with Refinery29. “Although, since being pregnant again, I’m wearing less jeans than I usually do. I definitely find myself avoiding dry-clean only items and looking for pieces that aren’t too constricted. And as a mom, pyjamas are a part of my wardrobe. I wear them often, so I liked the idea of including sleep in my Kohl’s collection.

“I like to be comfortable in my home and that was why I was inspired to add new sleepwear pieces to my Kohl’s line. I love treating myself to new sleepwear and wanted to offer that same opportunity to our customers.”

The LC Lauren Conrad Sleep collection is made up of robes, chemises, and matching two-pieces.

Asked what her personal favourites are, she went for the robes.

“It’s a cosy piece that is simple, yet chic, that you can easily throw on when you get home from work, when you wake up or after a much-needed bath,” the 33-year-old smiled.
