Miles Teller: ‘Ermenegildo Zegna provides stylish support’

Miles Teller describes his relationship with fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna as “mutually supportive”.

The Whiplash actor attended an exclusive party in Beverly Hills earlier this week (beg04Dec17) to celebrate the brand’s new Couture XXX Collection, which artistic director Alessandro Sartori is launching in time for awards season, which kicks off next month.

Each guest had a story to tell about their experience with the label, with Miles explaining his is one of trust and reliability.

“I’ve worn Zegna for many years now; I think it’s been a mutually supportive relationship, as they seem more than willing to dress me for events and I always feel good,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve worn them a few times this year for press tours. In the last couple years, I’ve gotten more into fashion, so it’s something I appreciate more. I love to kind of break up what is considered appropriate for men to wear for a cocktail party or a high-profile event; if it’s Zegna, it looks great. I’m not as much into skinny jeans or pants that are tight and fitted.”

Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro recalled his beginnings with the brand, working on his character in 2011 Brazilian film Meu Pais, also known as My Country. For him, Ermenegildo Zegna provides attire that is both stylish and caters to his physique.

“Zegna fits me very well,” Rodrigo said. “I’m tall and sometimes the cut is just slimmer and it works well for me. I like the more laid-back look of these pieces and the choreographed performance was a very beautiful, interesting and artsy way to show the clothes.”

Rodrigo’s Westworld co-star James Marsden also spoke about why he loves the label, crediting his stylist Ilaria Urbinati for “steering” him into its direction.

And he’s a big fan of the new line, which features items such as bold jackets and slim trousers, noting: “I’m normally in a suit, but tonight Ilaria showed me some of these new cool, sort of casual Couture pieces.”
