Liam Hemsworth has called married life with Miley Cyrus “the best”.
The Hunger Games actor tied the knot with the Wrecking Ball hitmaker in a low-key ceremony at their home in Tennessee in December (18), and Liam opened up about their wedding and being a newlywed when he hit the red carpet at the G’Day USA Gala in Culver City, California on Saturday (26Jan19).
When asked what married life was like by Entertainment Tonight, the Australian actor gushed, “It’s the best. It’s the best… I feel so lucky to be with someone like her. It’s great. Very lucky.”
He also spoke about their big day with the Australian Associated Press (AAP).
“It was great, it was just a really nice, beautiful day with our immediate family and a couple of close friends,” he added. “It’s wonderful, we’ve been together for the better part of 10 years, so it doesn’t feel like a lot’s changed on one hand, but on the other hand, it does… It’s all great, I’m loving it!”
The 29-year-old, who was honoured with the Excellence in Film award at the gala, hit the red carpet solo but was supported by Miley inside the ceremony.
During his acceptance speech, Liam made sure to give his new wife a shout out.
“Thank you to my beautiful wife,” he said, prompting the audience to applause. “You are a sweet, sweet angel. You’re great, you’re great.”
The singer responded by yelling “More about me!” from her seat in the audience, to which Liam replied, “I’ll tell you later.”
Their wedding came 10 years after they met on the set of 2010 movie The Last Song, and when asked by Variety if he would like to collaborate with Miley again, he said “someday”.
