Lewis Hamilton thanks Tommy Hilfiger after clothing collaboration drops

Lewis Hamilton found himself lost for words after showing off his debut Tommy Hilfiger collection in Shanghai.

Following in the footsteps of model Gigi Hadid, Lewis has worked with American designer Tommy on a line of clothes, which he unveiled for the first time on Tuesday (04Sep18).

Taking to Instagram after the fashion extravaganza, F1 driver Lewis thanked Tommy and his team for helping to make his dream a reality.

“Lost for words,” he began. “Wow, I wish I could describe what it’s been like launching my first collection, TommyXLewis, I feel completely overcome with emotion. To think, this was a dream for such a long time and now it’s out there I can’t wait for you to experience it yourself. A huge, huge thanks to @thomasjhilfiger and the whole @tommyhilfiger team for believing in me all this time. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together so far…”

Hailey Baldwin and Winnie Harlow, who were named Tommy Hilfiger global brand ambassadors in May, were among the models to walk in the show.

Hailey rocked a navy and claret-coloured collared dress, while Winnie wore a sparkly dress in the same shades teamed with a furry coat, and both donned racer-inspired red crop tops and matching trousers for the finale.

Lewis’ close pal Winnie congratulated the racing champ on her own Instagram account too.

“@TommyHilfiger the show was AMAZING! Thank you, endlessly grateful to you,” she praised. “congratulations @lewishamilton this collection is (fire).”

The TommyXLewis is available to buy now.
