Kylie Jenner suffered last-minute wardrobe malfunction before 2018 Met Gala

Kylie Jenner suffered a last-minute wardrobe malfunction just before the Met Gala back in 2018.

The reality star took to her Instagram Stories on Monday to share her favourite memories of the prestigious fashion bash, and told her 178 million followers that she managed to rip her black Alexander Wang gown dress while “squeezing” herself into it.

Kylie arrived at the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination-themed event with boyfriend Travis Scott, just three months after giving birth to her first child, daughter Stormi Webster.

And she revealed that getting ready for the Met Gala didn’t go quite to plan.

“Three months after I gave birth in 2018,” Kylie wrote alongside a snap from her on the red carpet. “Fun fact: this dress wasn’t supposed to have a zipper but it ripped as I was squeezing into it so we added it on the way out the door. But it worked out, I love it.”

Last year, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star wore a custom-made lavender Versace gown, which featured crystal mesh, Swarovski crystals, ostrich feathers, and large feathered sleeves.

And she told her fans that sister Kendall Jenner was originally supposed to wear a green or pink coloured Versace dress for the Notes on Camp-themed event, so they could’ve co-ordinated on the red carpet.

“I realllyy (sic) wanted her outfit to be pink but she wanted green or orange. The orange looked fire in the end,” Kylie shared.

The 2020 Met Gala, which was due to be held on 4 May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, has been postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
