Kate Hudson’s post-baby weight loss journey was tougher with her third child in comparison to her other two.

The Almost Famous actress welcomed daughter Rani Rose with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa in October 2018, and the following month, she announced she wanted to lose 25 pounds before she filmed a movie in the spring.

Kate, an ambassador for WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers, kept her Instagram followers up to date about her weight loss journey and celebrated achieving her goal.


In a new cover interview with Women’s Health magazine, the star revealed that dropping the pregnancy weight was a longer, tougher process in comparison to her experience following the birth of her sons Ryder, 15, and Bingham, eight.

“Unlike with the other two, I didn’t really have time to work out… It took a different kind of discipline,” she confessed to the publication, admitting the aim to get fit while running her businesses and looking after her family didn’t go “as planned”.

Because Kate didn’t have as much time to hit the gym, the 40-year-old relied on stricter eating habits using the WW points system. And the commitment paid off, as she now feels “good, energetic, and strong”.

Goldie Hawn’s daughter now eats around five times a day and fits in workouts three to four times a week. She prefers to mix up her exercise regime to alternate between running on the treadmill, pole dancing, hot yoga, and Pilates.

However, Pilates is always her go-to class, as she explained: “I love how flexible I get and what it does to the shape of my body.”
