Jodie Comer wears sunscreen “every day, rain or snow”.
The Killing Eve actress is as famous for her stunning alabaster complexion as for her murderous turn as assassin Villanelle in the BBC America series.
And when it comes to maintaining her perfect visage, Jodie is all about slapping on the SPF.
“Every day, rain or snow. I try and tell everyone how important this is, and they’re all like ‘Shut up, I’m not putting SPF50 on when it’s thunder and lightning outside.’ And I’m like, ‘You can still get the damage!'” she told Town and Country magazine.
While many of her peers turn to Botox to keep their faces wrinkle-free, Jodie would never go under the needle because she needs to be able to make various expressions in her acting career. However, she acknowledged that her wide variety of faces may lead to her becoming wrinkly as she gets older.
“Although maybe I need to chill with the crazy expressions or I’ll be a prune by age 40,” the 26-year-old joked.
Despite that, Jodie is relishing the chance to portray the complex, hilarious character of Villanelle, alongside Sandra Oh as the titular Eve.
“There are so many different faces she has,” she smiled. “To be able to explore that all within one character is so rare, and I don’t know if that will ever happen again. I’ve been really spoiled – but, wow, what an experience!”
The second series of Killing Eve is currently airing in the U.S. and will hit British screens later this year (19).
