Jennifer Lopez is launching her own collection of shoes and handbags.
The 50-year-old superstar announced her move into fashion design on Thursday, revealing she has partnered with executives at Designer Brands to launch her eponymous collection, JLO JENNIFER LOPEZ, which will be sold at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse stores in North America and online.
Jennifer, who recently delivered a sensational Super Bowl Half-time Show performance alongside Shakira, said her footwear and bag line was influenced by three cities – New York, Los Angeles and Miami – that have “become such an important part of who I am.”
“Since the beginning of my career, I’ve wanted to do it all – music, movies, and fashion. There are so many facets to my career, and that’s what I wanted to bring to my collection with DSW,” the On The Floor hitmaker said in a statement.
“With high quality products and accessible pricing, DSW is the perfect partner to reach a broader audience. It’s been incredible to build a brand with the talented team at Camuto Group, and with this collection, it’s my hope that people can find shoes they love and express multiple sides of themselves, all while remaining true to their most authentic self.”
Jennifer, who is currently starring in campaigns for Coach, Guess and Versace, will have creative authority over her collection and will receive technical expertise and guidance from the Camuto Group team.
The first five footwear styles have been teased on DSW.com, including Malika, a gold faux snakeskin shoe, and Brita, a sparkly silver strappy mule.
The full collection, priced from $59 (£45) to $189 (£145), will be available to buy from DSW stores and online from 16 March, and fans can sign up for early access pre-sale.
In addition to the debut collection, a special capsule line of five limited-edition styles will be also be released.
