Jennifer Hudson brought her “American Idol” and “Dreamgirls” glam to Philadelphia, America’s birthplace, for the July 4th Independence Day celebrations.
Performing with the Philly POPS for the first time ever, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning actress dazzled the audience with a range of R&B and gospel hits, at the Wawa Welcome America Festival at the Parkway.
On her Instagram during rehearsals, Jennifer exclaimed, “I bought my tent and all! I’m camping out on this stage!”
“All About the Bass” singer Meghan Trainor was also part of the free festivities, attended by over 200,000 people.
Equally powerful in voice, strength and spirit to Hudson, Trainor performed her upbeat hits, in addition to songs from her upcoming album (look out for an incredible duet with John Legend on the way.)
She had performed in Atlantic City the night before.
