Jenna Dewan Tatum has been ordered by her family to stop wearing mum jeans.
The Step Up actress appears to be able to rock any item of clothing out there, but it seems not everyone has approved of her fashion choices over the years.
“I’ve done the mom jeans, and my whole house has told me to stop with the mom jeans. I can’t pull those off, so I’ve retired that fashion trend,” Jenna, who is married to hunky actor Channing Tatum, sighed to Hello Giggles. “I’m waiting for cargo pants to come back, I feel like they’re almost happening. Mark my words, maybe six months from now. I miss the big cargo pants and heels for a night out.”
What she does love wearing is day-to-night outfits, made up of items such as high waisted skirts, leggings and textured garments that she can transform into something more formal for the evening.
Her openness to style became clear when Jenna was asked to describe her fashion ethos, with the brunette beauty explaining: “I would say I’m equal parts fairy, ethereal, chic, edgy, and I have to have a wow, pop factor. I’m such a dancer, that is so ingrained. Glitter or a bold colour, a punchier feel. I blame it all on the dance performances since I was five.”
Jenna loves make-up and skincare too and recently teamed up with Young Living Essential Oils for an event during New York Fashion Week.
Her and Channing’s daughter, four-year-old Everly, is also a big fan of scents and the 36-year-old enjoys introducing her little girl to the world of aromas
“We do a fun little game where we make a smiley face with the roller (bottles) on her stomach and neck,” Jenna smiled. “I have a very high-energy toddler, so calming her down for bedtime is a very important ritual in our house.”
