Jada Pinkett Smith dumps her beauty routines every now and again to revitalise her looks.
The Girls Trip star is not a fan of heavy makeup and on her days off she tries to avoid painting her face at all costs.
“Even on makeup days, I try go to light,” the actress explained of her natural approach on America’s Today show. “I do a lot of steam on my skin. On days off, I use hardly anything. I try to give the skin a break. Less is more.”
Jada, 46, recently opened up about the hair loss she is suffering during a discussion on her Facebook Watch chat series Red Table Talk, and she is now combating the issue with a new treatment, using her less-is-more philosophy to rehabilitate her hair.
“I get little steroid shots, which are working,” she shared. “My hair, in certain bald spots, is growing back. I wrap it a lot and let it rest. I try to leave it alone as much as possible.”
When Will Smith’s wife does want to jazz things up and get glam, she relies on products from singer Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line.
“I love Fenty. I love her lip gloss. She has the best red and the best lip gloss on the market,” she gushed. “She has a passion for makeup, obviously. I have the red lip in my purse. That’s my go-to.”
However, her skincare routine is simple too, with the beauty revealing she uses Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Astringent, a $4 (£3) bottle of toner available for sale at drug stores across America, to keep her face smooth and clear.
“It’s one of my favourite products,” she shared. “It is brilliant. I use the one that’s pink. The deep cleaning one. It pulls all the stuff out and it closes the pores as well. It’s awesome.”
