Hilary Duff has designed her first make-up collection.
The Younger actress has teamed up with executives at Nudestix to create the Daydreamer Palette, which includes the Nudies Matte All-Over Blush, Glow All-Over Highlighter, three Magnetic Luminous Eye Colors, Gel Color Lip and Cheek Balm, and a make-up bag.
The 31-year-old, who welcomed daughter Banks in October 2018, began investing in Nudestix earlier this year and she eventually decided to pitch a collaboration.
“They were excited I was investing, but I definitely pitched myself to them for the capsule,” Duff said. “I had everything that I wanted, like tones and a few of my favourite products I wanted to base them off of, and they were like, ‘OK, you have a very clear vision of what you want.’ And that’s how the process started.”
She explained that she has been thinking of doing her own beauty line for a while but struggled to find time between her career and raising Banks, who she shares with partner Matthew Koma, and Luca, seven, who she co-parents with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
“I’ve always dreamed of doing (my own beauty line), and I just don’t have enough time. Between both coasts and I have two kids and I have my hands in a lot of different pots, and the market’s really saturated. I don’t really know exactly where I would fit in right now,” the star admitted.
The collection features “pink and ethereal tones” which Hilary created as a nod to the autumn months and because she was “sick” of California girls wearing bronze and gold hues.
The Daydreamer Palette will launch on Nudestix.com on 10 September.
