Halsey and DJ duo The Martinez Brothers have been recruited to star in DKNY’s 30th birthday campaign.
The New York natives have helped bosses at the label celebrate the milestone with a stunning new campaign shot by fashion photographer Peter Arnell.
Set against a backdrop of the city’s skyscrapers, the black and white images showcase several new looks from the luxury label, which hark back to DKNY’s heritage campaigns of the 1990s.
In one image, Halsey is decked out in leopard-print bike shorts, a bra top, puffer jacket and sneakers from the DKNY fall 2019 collection, while The Martinez Brothers sport chic suits.
“DKNY is the spirit of New York. It’s diversity and drive. It’s hard work and a pinch of destiny. They say if a bee strays too far from its hive, it will die. DKNY keeps my home in my heart, and the magic in my mind. It’s an honour to be a part of their 30th birthday,” the Without Me hitmaker said in a statement.
Steven and Chris Martinez said partnering with DKNY was a natural fit, and “makes perfect sense”.
“We were born and raised in the Bronx. We are blessed to have found our passion through music. It’s taken us to the far corners of the world, and along the way we have met so many people and have had the craziest adventures. At the end of it all though, New York is our home… That’s why this partnership with DKNY is so natural and makes perfect sense for us. Excited to be a part of their family and continue to tell this New York story,” they shared.
In addition to the slick photo campaign, Halsey and The Martinez Brothers are set to perform at a 30th birthday party for the fashion house during New York Fashion Week in September.
