Demi Moore returns to exercise routine after four-year workout break

Demi Moore has returned to her exercise regime after taking a four-year break from working out.

The Ghost actress took to Instagram earlier this week to share a video of her doing a dance routine in front of an interactive mirror known as the Mirror.

“I haven’t exercised in, like, over four years,” she admitted in the footage before launching into a warmup. “So, this gonna be my next jam. Here I go. Wish me luck!”

Demi captioned the post by sharing her plan to do a 15-minute workout but confessed, “I am stalling!”

Later, she uploaded a second video showing her performing the moves in the dance cardio routine and told fans that her debut session “flew by” and added hashtags including #LovingLife, #BackInAction, #TightenUp and #GIJane, a reference to her 1997 film, in which she portrayed a super fit soldier.

The Mirror is a full-length mirror, which when turned on, allows users to follow along to an exercise instructor. Other celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston have all praised the product, though it is priced at $1,495 (£1,180) and has a $39 (£30) per month subscription fee, which gives users unlimited live and on-demand workouts.

Demi’s new workout plan comes just over a month after she confirmed that her memoir, to be titled Inside Out, will be released in September.

Described as a “story of survival, success, and surrender,” the book will delve into her high-profile relationships, successful acting career, battle with addiction, body image issues, and parenthood.

“As much as her story is about adversity, it is also about tremendous resilience,” a synopsis reads. “In this deeply candid and reflective memoir, Demi pulls back the curtain and opens up about her career and personal life-laying bare her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her marriages, her struggles balancing stardom with raising a family, and her journey toward open-heartedness.”
