Chris Evans leads stars celebrating as the New England Patriots claim Super Bowl victory
Captain America star Chris Evans was just one of the famous faces celebrating after the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl LIII on Sunday (03Feb19).
The American football team took on the Los Angeles Rams for the 2019 championship game, and emerged victorious with a score of 13-3. Following the game, Chris took to Twitter to praise the Patriots for the win, writing: “Congratulations Patriots!!!! And congrats to the Rams for playing a great game. You managed to take my blood pressure through the roof.”
TV host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted: “Congratulations, @Patriots! And what an incredible season for the LA @RamsNFL. You made us proud. #SuperBowl.” And Victoria’s Secret model Martha Hunt wrote: “congrats @Patriots !!!!! truly amazing witnessing this legacy.”
Country singer Keith Urban made a cheeky quip at the expense of controversial U.S. President Donald Trump as he tweeted: “The upside for the @RamsNFL is … now they don’t have go meet The President! #SuperBowlLlll.”
Rams fan Stephen Amell, who stars in TV show Arrow, wrote: “You gotta know when you get beat. Congrats to the Pats!” He later commented on the success of Patriots’ star Tom Brady, who became the player with the most Super Bowl wins under his belt after Sunday’s victory, writing: “I hope Tom Brady plays forever.”
One Direction star Niall Horan also praised Brady, tweeting: “The phrase ‘The Goat’ (greatest of all time) gets thrown around a lot but Tom Brady is actually the Greatest of all Time in his field . 41 years old and still winning championships of that level.”
Following his team’s historic victory, Brady celebrated with his model wife Gisele Bundchen and their two children Benjamin, nine, and Vivian, six, as well as his 11-year-old son John from his relationship with Bridget Moynahan. The quarterback also clutched Vivian in his arms as he gave his post-game interview and accepted the Vince Lombardi Trophy with his teammates.
