Charli XCX has been tapped to front the holiday campaign for lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.
The British popstar has previously appeared in campaigns for the likes of Marc Jacobs Eyewear and Boohoo.com and she has now been selected to front her first-ever lingerie campaign.
For the rodeo-themed advert, titled “Saddle Up, Santa!”, Charli can be seen wearing a variety of bras, underpants, and suspenders along with cowgirl hats, boots, belts, fringed gloves and a whip as she rides a white mechanical bull.
In a statement, the Boom Clap singer said she was thrilled to work with the British lingerie company.
“Being a part of AP’s Christmas campaign was iconic! Nothing says Christmas like naughty and nice with a dash of cowgirl. I love all these pieces so much and this whole shoot day was so wild… so fun, it was a pleasure to work with such a legendary brand,” she said.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Charli’s and we couldn’t imagine anyone better to collaborate with to become our Agent Provocateur Rodeo Queen – she was a natural! We wanted to bring some cheeky AP fun and sexiness to the holiday season,” added creative director Sarah Shotton.
In the accompanying imagery and campaign video, the 27-year-old models the Kenzie, a seemingly deconstructed set crafted with crisscrossing French Leavers laces in asymmetric panels and encrusted with crystals, as well as the Rozlyn, inspired by couture crinoline shapes from the 1950s, the Demelza, Essie, Brandi, and Joan sets.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Charli wrote, “It’s nearly Christmas season and nothing says festive like riding a bronco in head to toe @agentprovocateur like a true rhinestone rodeo queen! Shooting the Saddle Up Santa campaign with AP was absolutely iconic and I can’t wait for you to see the full thing!”
