Cardi B will work with any designer who creates clothes that make her look good.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker recently made a splash during her first time at Paris Fashion Week, where she made appearances at shows such as Thom Browne and Chanel.
When asked by WWD how she chooses the designers she supports, the rapper explained that she doesn’t care about their background and focuses solely on the clothes they make.
“I don’t really care where the designer comes from,” she said. “I don’t care if they’re from my hood, I don’t care if my sister (did) it. As long as I know that it’s going to look good, that it photographs well, that it’s made well, I want it on my body.”
Before she arrived at the Thom Browne show, she gave fans a close-up look of the $60,000 (£49,000) crocodile handbag she was taking with her to the presentation on her Instagram Stories and called it “an amazing investment”.
In her chat with WWD, Cardi shared that she was obsessed with expensive handbags, particularly Chanel ones.
“It’s not like I collect them, it’s just that I buy them and I can’t help wanting to have them,” she commented. “A Chanel bag is a must-have. It represents like a status. It’s like when you have it, you feel rich.”
At Paris Fashion Week in September, she hit headlines for wearing a blue and green floral number by Richard Quinn which covered her from head to toe. She also rocked a black and white tweed jumpsuit with matching duster coat at Chanel and a grey secretary-style ensemble at Thom Browne.
