Brooke Shields finally confident in her personal style choices

Brooke Shields finally feels confident in voicing her opinions on clothes and outfits.

The model/actress has reflected on some of her memorable outfits from her lengthy Hollywood career in a new interview with, and revealed that she’s finally comfortable with having a view on what she wears.

“I think the biggest change in my style from then to now is that I don’t wear something if I don’t love it or feel good in it,” she shared. “It took a while for me to sort of get confident in having an opinion.”

Brooke went on to explain that one of her favourite looks is the navy blue Zac Posen dress she wore to the 2018 Met Gala.

“I was so happy it had pockets, even though I didn’t put anything in the pockets,” the 54-year-old laughed. “And I just felt really regal and beautiful, and appropriate. I wanted it to look really gorgeous, and Zac was just so lovely. I felt like a real star.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Brooke reflected on the outfit she wore to the 1992 premiere of Death Becomes Her, and noted how she had wanted to impress the film’s star, Meryl Streep.

“This was my slick hair, dark, dark red lip, big hoops, lots of crop tops. I was a huge fan of Meryl Streep’s. This was on the off chance I was going to get to meet her. I thought she’d like this outfit,” she smiled.

The Suddenly Susan star also discussed her 2003 Vogue cover, shot by Annie Leibowitz, in which she was heavily pregnant with her daughter Rowan.

However, Brooke confessed that it was “hard” being the second woman to be featured on the cover of a magazine while pregnant, after Demi Moore’s now-iconic cover for Vanity Fair back in 1991.

“It was hard being the second person to be photographed pregnant, because Demi had done it prior, and she had that whole unbelievable tuxedo look, so it was impossible to rival that,” the mother-of-two shared.
