Big spenders! Local celebs who drop mega-bucks

Local celebs know how to spend their cash.

While our local celebs don’t earn nearly as much as their international counterparts from record sales, appearances and endorsement deals, they’re still doing extremely well for themselves!

AKA’s endorsement deal with Cruz vodka alone will see him earning R8 million by the end of the campaign. Little wonder then that the rapper can spend big bucks without a care in the world. Besides a penchant for all things fancy and flying first-class, some of the rapper’s most memorable spends include buying his mother a BMW, dropping R79 000 on his ex, Bonang Matheba’s 30th birthday party and R80 000 on Gucci and Givenchy items while on holiday in Hong Kong.

Find out how other local celebs are spending their moola.

Bonang Matheba

Dodgy tax vibes aside, nobody can deny that Bonang Matheba’s star keeps on rising. The gorgeous celeb represents a few brands including Cell C, a deal which earned her a neat and tidy R3 million. And, how does SA’s Queen B like to spend her cash? Designer clothes, exotic vacations and property (let’s also not forget the ‘champagne darling’!)
